INTRODUCING
BAD EDUCATION

Created and written by Jack, Bad Education is one of BBC Three’s highest rating comedy shows. First transmitted in 2012 the show was an instant hit with audiences and critics alike and is currently in production for its second series.

Bad Education follows Alfie Wickers, the worst teacher to ever (dis)grace the British Education system and a bigger kid than the pupils he teaches. Whether he’s captaining a football team, organising a school trip or staging a re-enactment of The Battle of Britain in his classroom, Alfie, along with his class of wayward teens are never far from trouble, as he strives to prove that he knows best. This is school life as you’ve never seen it before.

Series 2

It’s a new term and Alfie Wickers is back as the self-styled maverick of Abbey Grove, attempting to teach his class something – anything – that requires zero effort. Though Alfie’s heart’s always in the right place, his judgment is often clouded by the fact he is, in reality, a bigger kid than any of the kids he teaches.

Alfie’s first shock of the term is the discovery that his ‘girlfriend’, biology teacher Miss Gulliver, is not his girlfriend at all. Her facebook status ‘in a relationship’ refers not to Alfie, but to the fact that she’s dating a female ex-pupil. Having lost Gulliver, Alfie’s world is further rocked by Miss Pickwell reassigning his class to a new American teacher. Alfie’s rival, Mr Schwimer, quickly becomes everyone’s hero. But could he be too good to be true?

Series 3

It’s summer term and Alfie Wickers is back as the self-styled maverick of Abbey Grove. With exams looming it’s time for Alfie to finally knuckle down and start teaching his class but the path to A*s never did run smooth. Alfie definitely has the best intentions for his class but the truth is he is a bigger kid than any of the kids he teaches so his good intentions always seem to end up out the window. He really does care though. Maybe this will be the term he finally grows up?

The staff room this term isn’t going to be any easier than the classroom. Alfie’s dad Martin Wickers (Harry Enfield) has been appointed as the new deputy head and despite his protestations that their relationship won’t affect the workplace, his stories of “Smoocher” wetting himself on his 18th birthday mean it is all beyond cringe for Alfie. His love life’s also a disaster. Despite starting the term living with his girlfriend, biology teacher Miss Gulliver (Sarah Solemani) things quickly go wrong. All too soon, Miss Gulliver is back in the arms of her ex. Fraser (Mathew Horne) starts the summer term with a strike on his hands after badly investing the school’s money in his own clothing range, Dolce and GaBanter.

The Bad Education Movie

In 2015, Jack and the cast of Bad Education, returned with a feature-length outing for the hit TV comedy. Jack, sets a typically terrible example as posh history teacher Alfie Wickers in this feature-length outing for the hit TV comedy. Following an eye-opening visit to Amsterdam, Mr Wickers takes his class of unruly scruffy ‘uns on an end-of-term trip to Cornwall. Needless to say, lessons are rudely learnt on both trips, involving dodgy locals, swans with attitude, and hamsters disappearing where the sun don’t shine.
